The Analyst plays a key role in maintaining data quality within the organization's client data management system and contributes to dashboard development and data collection processes that reflect the needs of youth-serving programs.\r\nThis is a full-time position, eligible for full benefits.\r\nGrant & Funder Reporting\r\nGenerate monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports for Public Funding and Institutional Giving departments in support of grants management and invoicing.\r\nCoordinate the timely and accurate submission of data into external funder database systems, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements.\r\nAttend regular funder-hosted meetings and maintain consistent communication cadence with the Public Funding team (bi-weekly) and Institutional Giving (monthly).\r\nRespond to additional data requests from across the agency in a timely manner.\r\nProduce and distribute recurring internal reports for program and performance management, outcomes measurement, and quality assurance purposes.\r\nSupport the build-out and ongoing maintenance of program-facing dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.\r\nManage access to and organization of reports within the client data management systems.\r\nConduct ongoing quality assurance and quality control activities across and between internal and external databases, flagging and resolving discrepancies.\r\nSupport revisions to the client data management system as required by evolving programmatic or reporting needs.\r\nData Analysis\r\nWrite and maintain code in R or other statistical software to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes.\r\nPerform quantitative review of data collection forms, assessments, and other instruments for completeness and accuracy.\r\nSupport data cleaning and preparation for use in program evaluation and research activities.\r\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of new features and functionalities in relevant software platforms.\r\nOther Duties & Responsibilities\r\nSupport the Director of Data and Research in implementing system revisions as required by evolving programmatic or reporting needs.\r\nSupport the team's mixed-methods research efforts, assisting with deliverables such as white papers and policy briefs and with analyses spanning a range of methods (spatial panel regression, social network analysis, cost-benefit analysis).\r\nAs needed, help advance the organization's Learning Agenda and Equity Agenda, analyzing underserved populations and incorporating those learnings into actionable programmatic steps.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nQualifications\r\nProficiency in R is required, including data wrangling, transformation, and reporting packages (tidyverse, ggplot2, RMarkdown or Quarto); Python proficiency is also acceptable.\r\nExperience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms.\r\nExperience working with large-scale cloud-based data repositories and enterprise data management systems.\r\nStrong cleaning, validation, and preparation skills for reporting and analysis, with high attention to accuracy across multiple systems.\r\nAnalytical, collaborative problem-solver who is detail oriented, self-starter, and an excellent communicator.\r\nWill work 3 days per week in the San Francisco office.\r\nPerks\r\n$70,500 to $75,000 annual salary.\r\nClipper Bay Pass – Commute for FREE!\r\nChoice of Kaiser and Sutter medical plans, plus dental and vision.\r\nGenerous 3 weeks of vacation annually, plus 11 paid holidays and 3 floating holidays.\r\n403(b) retirement plan with employer matching.\r\nFlexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care expenses.\r\nLife insurance.\r\nEmployee Assistance Program for counseling services.\r\nHealth Advocate Service.\r\nPaid sabbatical following 5 and 10 years of employment.\r\nLarkin Street Youth Services is an equal opportunity employer.
