Accounting Clerk
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting operations in our Lansing office. This role is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform data entry for accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.Process and file invoices, payments, and supporting accounting documentation.Assist with invoice matching, billing, and payment posting as needed.Maintain organized electronic and/or paper financial records in accordance with company procedures.Support account reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close preparation.Respond to basic vendor and internal inquiries related to invoices or payments.Provide general administrative support to the accounting team. Qualifications1-3 years of experience in an accounting clerk, accounting assistant, or administrative accounting role preferred.Basic understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and reliability.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
