This role oversees the safe, efficient, and high-quality installation, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of HVAC systems supporting critical facilities and data center environments. The HVAC Supervisor serves as a technical leader and field supervisor, ensuring contract compliance, workforce readiness, job planning, customer satisfaction, and adherence to applicable safety standards, codes, and company procedures.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nProvide effective oversight, leadership, and administration of safety processes, procedures, and field work practices.\nLead, train, influence, and motivate HVAC technicians while supporting the continued development of team competency and technical capability.\nPerform and oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, routine repairs, and emergency repairs on mission critical HVAC systems without supervision.\nProvide technical guidance regarding the installation, service, maintenance, and operation of data center mechanical equipment.\nSupport HVAC equipment including, but not limited to, air- and water-cooled reciprocating chillers, centrifugal and screw package chillers, natural gas boilers and unit heaters, electric duct heaters, cooling towers, water pumps, AHUs, FCUs, fans, and air distribution systems.\nMaintain, upgrade, and back up Building Automation Software as required, including systems using pneumatic, DDC, and Variable Frequency Drive controls.\nTravel to customer sites to manage HVAC service, installation, replacement, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.\nPlan and maintain work systems, procedures, and policies that enable safe, efficient, and high-quality performance by CPG technicians.\nCoordinate labor, logistics, materials, equipment readiness, and job planning with Project and Contract Managers to mitigate delays and support successful project execution.\nMonitor compliance with contractual commitments, applicable federal, state, and local rules, codes, regulations, and customer requirements.\nMaintain high-quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, resolving service issues, identifying trends, and recommending system improvements.\nCommunicate job expectations, delegate tasks, set deadlines, review and approve weekly timesheets, and support staff management activities.\nPerform site walks and assist with estimating potential new work.\nRespond to after-hours calls and perform on-call after-hour assignments as required.\nMaintain regular and reliable attendance, including expected job-site presence of approximately 50 to 75 percent of the time.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nMinimum of 7 years of large commercial HVAC service experience required; 8 years preferred.\nSuccessful completion of basic air conditioning theory coursework or equivalent experience.\nDemonstrated understanding of proper use of HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments.\nExperience with DDC, pneumatic, and Variable Frequency Drive controls.\nAbility to train, influence, and motivate team members while communicating clear job expectations.\nExperience writing pre-job briefs, procedures, service documentation, and technical reports.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills, strong customer relations skills, and the ability to make independent decisions.\nMust be able to travel up to 50%.\nMust be a U.S. citizen.\nExperience in critical facilities including federal facilities, power generation plants, and data centers preferred.\nProject leadership experience, including site walks, estimating, job planning, and coordination with Project or Contract Managers preferred.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance preferred.\nBilingual skills preferred but not required.\nMust be willing and able to obtain US Passport or have active passport.\n\nComputer Skills\nMicrosoft office (must be proficient in Excel and Word)\nNetSuite preferred but not required\n\nEducation/Experience\nKnowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams preferred.\nExperience maintaining, upgrading, and backing up Building Automation Software as required.\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nMust have at least 2 years' experience with people management\n\nCertificates and Licenses\nEnvironmental Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Certification required.\nCurrent/active Arizona HVAC/R license preferred.\nOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.\nMust be able to pass applicable government or client background checks and gain access to required facilities.\nMust have a clear and valid driver’s license.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
