Service providers trust CommScope for complete, end-to-end Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) solutions that optimize broadband deployments with reliable quality.\r\nPosition Summary The EHS Technician supports Environmental, Health, Safety, Business Continuity, and Security programs across two North Carolina manufacturing facilities. Serving as the primary EHS resource during second-shift operations (3:00 PM–11:00 PM), this role ensures regulatory compliance, supports emergency preparedness and security initiatives, manages incident response activities, and promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nSafety & Health\r\nLead second-shift EHS support across both facilities.\r\nConduct inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.\r\nInvestigate incidents, near misses, and injuries; support corrective actions.\r\nEnsure compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety programs.\r\nDeliver safety and contractor training.\r\nSupport ergonomics, injury prevention, and employee engagement initiatives.\r\nEnvironmental Compliance\r\nAssist with compliance related to permits and environmental regulations.\r\nConduct inspections of waste management and chemical storage areas.\r\nSupport spill prevention, response, and environmental reporting activities.\r\nMaintain required environmental records and documentation.\r\nEHS Programs & Administration\r\nMaintain EHS records, metrics, and compliance documentation.\r\nTrack corrective actions and support regulatory reporting.\r\nParticipate in audits, committees, and continuous improvement projects.\r\nSupport contractor management and EHS procedure development.\r\nBusiness Continuity & Emergency Preparedness\r\nSupport emergency response, crisis management, and business continuity programs.\r\nParticipate in drills, exercises, and preparedness activities.\r\nConduct inspections of emergency equipment and response resources.\r\nAssist with operational risk assessments and continuity planning.\r\nSecurity Programs\r\nSupport physical security, access control, and visitor management processes.\r\nConduct security inspections and assist with investigations.\r\nPartner with HR, Facilities, and Operations to mitigate security risks.\r\nSupport security awareness training and recordkeeping.\r\nMulti-Site Support\r\nTravel between both North Carolina facilities as required.\r\nEnsure consistent implementation of EHS, Security, and Business Continuity programs.\r\nProvide after-hours support to operations and leadership.\r\nServe as a visible advocate for safety, preparedness, and compliance.\r\nRequired training once hired Level 1 Wastewater Operator, State of North Carolina American Heart Association Certified Trainer ISO Lead Auditor Competent Person Miller Fall Protection Competencies:\r\n29. Demonstrates Self-Awareness . Using a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into personal strengths and weaknesses.\r\n30. Self-Development. Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels.\r\n39. Functional/ Technical Skills. Demonstrating Functional/ Technical Skills to do the job.\r\nRequired Qualifications: Associate's degree in related area. 1 year experience in EHS area within a manufacturing environment. Available to work in the second shift (3:00 -11:00 pm) Able to commute within the N.C.
