We are a small, passionate, and fast-paced team that is fully invested in the success of our company, and we value contributions from each team member.\nOverview:\nAn Apprentice Large Format Print Operator assists in setting up, maintaining, and running industrial-grade printers to produce banners, signage, and other graphics.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nMachine Operation: Assist in setting up and operating roll-to-roll and flatbed large format printers.\nFile Preparation: Learn to use RIP software and basic design tools (Adobe Illustrator/InDesign) to format, resize, and prepare customer files for printing.\nMaterial Handling: Load and unload heavy substrates (vinyl, canvas, laminate) and change out ink systems safely.\nQuality Control: Inspect printed items for color accuracy, banding, or imperfections prior to final delivery.\nFinishing Tasks: Perform trimming, mounting, laminating, and grommeting on finished products under supervision.\nEquipment Maintenance: Assist with the performance of daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance, including cleaning printheads and maintaining machine components.\nInstalls: Assist with the installation of large format graphics both indoors and outdoors.\nOther: Perform other duties as assigned.\nCompetencies/Skills\nStrong attention to detail to help maintain the highest standards of quality production.\nComfortable with change in a variety of situations.\nAbility to assist with completing multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.\nA positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to complete the project.\nAble to professionally work with verbal direction.\nAccomplishes all tasks thoroughly and thoughtfully.\nExpresses ideas, listens to others effectively, and freely asks questions.\nStrong ability to work with your hands.\nWillingness to assist with meeting tight deadlines.\nEager to learn, self-starting attitude, and high attention to detail.\nWillingness to follow policies and procedures and to maintain a clean and safe work area.\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to understand measurements and perform basic math/unit conversions.\nComfortable standing for long periods and physically lifting/moving materials weighing up to 60 lbs.\nBasic computer skills.\nAlphaGraphics centers (locations) are independently owned and operated.
