The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.\r\nSalary: $21- $23/hr DOE\r\nResponsibilities\r\nPrepares material specimens for testing Performs tests as directed by customer specifications\r\nAt times operates under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department Manager\r\nInteracts periodically with customers\r\nPerforms regular maintenance on equipment.\r\nGathers and records test data\r\nConstructs and maintains various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment to ensure proper working order with little supervision\r\nSkills / Qualifications\r\nWorking knowledge of laboratory safety\r\nHS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed\r\nMinimum of 2 years' experience in a testing related field\r\nAnalyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed\r\nBasic understanding of testing concepts\r\nPossess computer skills\r\nAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nFrequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)\r\nLifting requirements: lifting 50 lbs. on occasion\r\nAbility to stand on feet for long periods of time\r\nAbility to lift 50+lbs periodically\r\nCompany Overview\r\nElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
