Full-TIme Physical Therapist Assistant FLEXIBLE DAYS AND HOURS Purpose of Position To assist the Physical Therapist in treating disabilities, injuries and diseases through the use of exercises and physical properties of sound, water, heat, cold, light and electricity according to the prescription of a physician. Duties and Responsibilities Directly responsible to the supervising Physical Therapist. Carry out treatment responsibilities as per physician order and under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. Treat patients according to diagnosis and precautions necessary and according to physician's orders and evaluation of the Physical Therapist. Recommend changes in the treatment program to the Physical Therapist as indicated. Maintain patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of facility. Write notes on a timely basis in SOAP format on each patient and has them co-signed by the Physical Therapist. Prepare and clean up the equipment and the treatment area prior to and after treatment. Maintain standards as set by the APTA regarding treatment procedures and professional ethics. Conduct self in a professional manner and is respectful to the rights of co-workers and supervisors. Qualifications Graduate of a school with PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (2 years) Must have complete the clinical affiliation as required by the curriculum.
