The successful candidate will work with the team to develop new solutions to support customers' networking and virtualization needs, provide and develop documentation, and monitor security and performance of the platform and deployed services. Our engineers are asked to solve challenging problems for unique customers, and have a direct impact on the direction of software and hardware products used by those customers.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDeploy and maintain critical services supporting primarily on-prem architecture with limited access to cloud-native services.\nWork with the Cybersecurity team by implementing industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management\nUse automation best practices, such as Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and Configuration-as-Code (CaC) for repeatability and fast provisioning of environments\nWork closely with development teams to provide onboarding support\nEnsure platform and networks are compliant with DoD policies\nSupport backup and disaster recovery planning\nRequired Qualifications:\n3+ Years of Linux Server Administration: Direct experience deploying, maintaining, and administering enterprise Linux servers, specifically identifying distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu\n3+ Years of Linux Endpoint & Virtual Machine Administration: Practical experience managing Linux clients (endpoints) and virtualized environments, ensuring system stability and performance\n3+ Years of Core Virtualization Infrastructure Management (VMware): Demonstrated experience administering VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi to support and maintain the underlying hypervisor stack that hosts the Linux virtual infrastructure (aligned with the systems experience required for the role).\nDemonstrated knowledge in the following:\nCloud Native Architectures\nHybrid Commercial and on premise Cloud Environments\nMaintaining servers and services on unclassified and classified networks\nProvisioning, deploying and maintaining tools from the Cloud Native Computer Foundation ecosystem\nGovernment Clouds (Preferred)\nCertifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator\nHS Diploma\nUS Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance\nDesired Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field\nScripting experience including at least a subset of the following: Bash, Python, Terraform, Ansible\nKnowledge of Active Directory in addition to other identity federation systems such as LDAP\nKnowledge of observability tools, such as Splunk or Elasticsearch\nExperience using Git hosting services such as GitLab, GitHub and BitBucket\nThis location is located in College Park, MD. On-site presence is expected 3 days per week with the option of 2 days of remote work. The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical interview.\nWe are strictly looking for direct, full-time W2 employees.
