Finance & BankingPittsburgh, PA - OnsiteEmployment Type: Full-timeExperience: Entry (internships, or 1-2 years)Website Clearview Federal Credit UnionOBJECTIVEThe B2B Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for driving membership growth, Clearview Partner Program development (also referred to as Select Employer Groups “SEG’s”), and consumer wallet share expansion within an assigned geographic territory supporting designated financial center locations.This role serves as the primary owner of Clearview Partner Program relationships and is accountable for executing a disciplined business development strategy that generates new memberships, deepens existing relationships, and contributes to the overall growth objectives of the credit union.The BDO operates as a strategic partner across the organization, collaborating closely with Financial Centers, Commercial Lending, Treasury Management, Marketing, and Community Impact teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to businesses and their employees.Through proactive prospecting, relationship management, community engagement, and consultative selling, the BDO enhances the credit union’s visibility, strengthens employer partnerships, and drives sustainable growth across multiple business lines.WORKING HOURS: Monday-Friday, generally 8:30am-5:00pm; evening and weekend hours based on departmental needs, event schedules, and/or networking functions.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered2+ years of outside sales, business development, or relationship management experience required (financial services preferred)Proven ability to prospect, build pipelines, and close business relationshipsExperience Managing Employer Relationships, Partnerships, Or SEG-type Programs PreferredStrong knowledge of consultative sales techniques and relationship-based sellingSkills & CompetenciesHighly motivated, self-directed, and results-orientedStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; approachable, relatable, and referableExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsAbility to influence decision-makers and overcome objectionsStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a territory effectivelyProficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft OfficeAbility to work independently with limited supervision while contributing to a collaborative team environmentAdditional RequirementsWillingness to travel throughout assigned territory and surrounding financial center marketsAbility to attend networking and community events outside of standard business hoursValid driver’s license and reliable transportationLift heavy (50lbs)Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesTerritory & Partner OwnershipOwn and manage an assigned territory, aligning efforts with designated financial center locations and local market opportunitiesDevelop, maintain, and grow a portfolio of Clearview Partner Program relationships, serving as the primary relationship managerIdentify, prioritize, and onboard new partnerships to drive membership growth and product adoptionEstablish and execute territory-based business development plans aligned with organizational goalsBusiness Development & Sales ExecutionProspect, develop, and manage a robust pipeline of business opportunities using CRM toolsConduct regular outbound sales activities including cold calling, networking, referrals, and in-person visitsDeliver compelling presentations to business owners, HR leaders, and decision-makers to secure partnershipsMeet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals related to membership growth, product penetration, and relationship expansionDrive consumer wallet shares by promoting relevant credit union products and services to partner employeesRelationship Management & Member GrowthDeepen relationships within assigned Clearview Partner Program partners to increase engagement, utilization, and retentionCoordinate on-site and virtual engagement opportunities including financial wellness seminars, onboarding sessions, and benefit enrollments for Partner Program organizations and their employeesAct as a trusted advisor to business partners by understanding their needs and aligning credit union solutionsEnsure high-quality onboarding experience and ongoing relationship supportCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Financial Center teams to identify opportunities, support onboarding, and ensure seamless member experiencesRefer and collaborate with Commercial Lending and Treasury Management teams to support business client needs and revenue growthWork with Community Impact and Marketing teams to enhance brand visibility and community presenceAct as a connector across business lines to maximize relationship value and organizational growthCommunity Engagement & Brand RepresentationRepresent the credit union at local business events, networking groups, chambers of commerce, and community functionsBuild and maintain Centers of Influence (COI) relationships (e.g., CPAs, attorneys, business leaders)Promote financial literacy through workshops, seminars, and community outreach initiativesServe as a brand ambassador, reinforcing the credit union’s mission and value propositionSales Performance, Reporting & CRM ManagementMeet or exceed established sales goals and performance metricsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of activities, pipeline, and relationships within CRMProvide regular updates to leadership on territory performance, pipeline, and opportunitiesTrack Clearview Partner Program performance, engagement levels, and growth outcomesProfessional Development & Organizational AlignmentMaintain knowledge of credit union products, services, and industry trendsEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policiesParticipate in training, team meetings, and strategic initiativesSupport departmental and organizational projects assignedSupport Clearview’s Commitment to fostering a workplace where every individual feels welcomed, valued, and supported.
