The Maintenance Manager oversees the day-to-day functions of mechanics, bus washers, utility workers and administrative staff members. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.\nKey Responsibilities Hire, train and schedule Maintenance Technicians\nApprove priority of maintenance and repairs based on availability of materials and parts and requirements of scheduled operations\nCoordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors\nEnsure company and client equipment is maintained and operating efficiently\nManage inventory\nImplement safety policies and procedures for the department per corporate requirements\nParticipate in the development and administration of the operational budget\nIdentify opportunities for improving service delivery methods\nOther duties as required.\nTravel requirement outside of immediate area:\nQualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent\nValid CDL Class B (or higher) with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred\n7 years+ experience in the repair and maintenance of all types of heavy-duty automotive and transit equipment\n3 years+ of supervisory experience\nBroad understanding of all mechanical systems related to heavy-duty transportation vehicles\nFamiliarity with laws & regulations associated with the safe operation of maintenance facilities\nProficient with Microsoft Office\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.\nPhysical Requirements The essential functions of this position require the ability to:\nWork outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.\nSit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces\nPush and pull objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level\nWithstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
