A small, growing federal contractor needs an experienced Controller to stabilize and run its day-to-day accounting operation. This assignment is designed for someone who enjoys doing the work personally and can deliver accurate billing, payroll, close, cash visibility, and leadership reporting without a large accounting team.\nImmediate priorities\n\nTake ownership of full-cycle accounting and the monthly close in Deltek Costpoint 8.2.\n\nPrepare accurate CPFF, T&M, and FFP invoices; reconcile billings to time, expenses, subcontractor costs, funding, and contract terms.\n\nProcess semi-monthly multistate payroll in Costpoint and reconcile payroll to timekeeping and the general ledger.\n\nManage AP, AR, cash receipts, collections, journal entries, bank and balance-sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.\n\nTrack funding, ceilings, periods of performance, burn rates, unbilled costs, billing rates, fee, and indirect rates.\n\nProvide leadership with timely financial reporting, cash-flow visibility, forecasts, and clear explanations of significant variances.\n\nResolve Costpoint processing issues and strengthen practical controls, calendars, checklists, and accounting procedures.\n\nRequired experience\n\nRecent, direct, hands-on Deltek Costpoint 8.2 experience.
