This position ensures cleanliness and a healthy work environment by managing the activities, routines, necessary tools/materials, programs and training of EVS staff.\n\nEssential Functions:\nEnsure compliance with the applicable Tribal, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.\nEnsure the highest possible standards of guest services by properly listening and responding to guest and team member concerns and questions.\nSupervise day-to-day activities; provide training, planning, assigning and directing work; interviewing and hiring; appraise performance, reward, and discipline team members; correct and approve time cards, schedule time off, post shift bids; address complaints and resolve problems.\nMaintain adequate staffing levels to meet business demands.\nAssist Department Manager with writing and implementing operating plans and budgets for EVS and capital improvements.\nAssist EVS Manager with budgeting process and position control.\nManage preventative EVS and work order processes.\nAssist Department Manager with compliance of all safety standards and codes.\nAssist with development and implementation of emergency procedures.\nAssist with development and implementation of purchasing and inventory procedures for EVS.\nResolve problems or grievances (team member/guests) within the EVS department.\nIdentify training opportunities and resolve work load conflicts.\nMaintain and promote open communication with related vendors and contractors including initializing purchases with follow up.\nForward recommendations to EVS Manager to improve system performances and efficient operations.\nImmediately respond to emergency situations.\nReport faulty or damaged equipment immediately to the EVS Manager.\nReport injuries and incidents immediately to the EVS Manager.\nDemonstrate and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.\nManage and maintain security of confidential information entrusted to position.\nAttend and satisfactorily complete all required training as assigned.\nMonitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31 requirements and IRS Currency Transaction Reports and property established Anti-Money Laundering policies. Spanish or other language skills a plus.\n\nOther Criteria:\nQualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and qualified Native American preference is observed.\n\nSkills and Abilities:\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nAbility to maintain effective relationships with the General Manager, Directors, Managers, vendors and all staff.\nAbility to work under pressure in a fast paced, stressful environment.\nAbility to meet multiple deadlines and multi-task.\nAbility to have strong critical thinking, analytical and guest service skills.\nMust possess a positive attitude with strong organizational and leadership qualities.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.\nAbility to understand complex instructions and material.\nAbility to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers of all levels.\nAbility to work effectively with individuals and demonstrate leadership and team building skills with empathy and enthusiasm.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality.\nAbility to follow and comply with established Casino guest service programs.\n\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb and bend for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; talk and listen on a regular basis.\nThe team member must be able to concentrate for prolonged periods.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.\nThe team member must be able to communicate effectively in person or using telecommunications equipment.\nThe team member must have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone and calculator.\nOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.\n\nWork Environment:\nCasino floor, outside premises and normal office setting.\nFrequent walking and standing in a smoke filled environment and frequent contact with the general public.\nTemperature controlled environment with varying noise levels.
