This is a great opportunity to join a newly formed, dynamic team as a Senior Application Development Engineer, and contribute to the development of our next generation proof of human devices.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOwn the architecture, development, maintenance, and debugging of software applications on upcoming consumer electronics devices\nDesign and implement high performance user facing applications\nCreate the user interfaces and user experience of core applications running on our internally developed devices\nParticipate in design reviews and provide input over all system architecture\nWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams on concept integration into product roadmap with a focus on stability, power, and performance\nAuthor and maintain documentation for application architecture, testing procedures, and validation results\nCoordinate with software engineers to validate system-level behavior and address hardware/software integration issues\nSupport production system debug as needed\nSupport user research studies for development of user interfaces\nAbout You:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field\n4+ years of hands-on experience in Android application development\n6+ years of software development experience\nExperience developing user interfaces for consumer electronics systems at large scale\nStrong proficiency in Kotlin\nIn depth knowledge of the Android SDK\nExperience with testing methodologies including unit testing and UI testing\nAbility to work independently on complex projects and take full ownership of deliverables\nAbility to debug complex cross-domain issues in a fast-paced, iterative development environment\nCommitted to rigorous documentation and testing practices\nComfortable working in a start-up or high-velocity team environment, with a proactive, hands-on approach\n-\nPay transparency statement (for CA and NY based roles):\nThe reasonably estimated salary for this role at TFH ranges from $220,000 - $270,000, plus a competitive long term incentive package.
