Altera Digital health provides managed services to Springhill Medical Center’s facilities and is located on the hospital’s main site in Mobile, AL.\n\nJob Summary\n\nAn IT Computer Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling computer systems, ensuring that hardware and software operate efficiently and securely. They support daily IT operations, perform routine maintenance, handle system alerts, and assist in troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nMonitor computer systems, servers, and networks to ensure smooth operation\nExecute scheduled tasks such as backups, batch jobs, and system updates\nRespond to system alerts, errors, and outages in a timely manner\nMaintain logs of system performance, errors, and activities\nPerform routine hardware and software maintenance\nAssist in troubleshooting technical issues and escalate when necessary\nAssist in resolving support calls escalated by the Service Desk\nEnsure data integrity and system security protocols are followed\nInstall and configure basic software and hardware components\nSupport IT teams with system upgrades and migrations\nFollow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compliance guidelines\nService Now ticket compliancy\n\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\n\nBasic knowledge of computer systems, operating systems\nFamiliarity with networking concepts and IT infrastructure\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\nAbility to follow procedures and work independently or with a team\nAttention to detail and strong organizational skills\nGood communication skills for reporting issues\n\nEducation & Experience\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred)\n0–2 years of experience in IT operations or support\n\nWork Environment\n\nOn-site IT department operations centers\nStandard work week, with the possibility of after-hours, on-call support, and holiday work as required.\nPrimarily works in a standard office environment.\nWill require one week on call rotation every 4-5 weeks\nRole may involve prolonged computer use and monitoring screens\nOn-call and after-hours work may be required during peak times, such as the end of the month, quarter, year or during applications upgrade.\n\nSummary: The IT Computer Operator is responsible for supporting business processes and developing/maintaining technical systems.\n\nMust be authorized to work in the US\n\nLocation: On Site - Mobile, AL\nDuration: Full-Time\n\nSalary Range: $38,000 - $45,011\n\nThe salary range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position at the time of posting.
