Supervisor","description":"Purpose: Provide Supervisory Oversight for the Maintenance Department.Reports to: Plant ManagerConditions: Heavy lifting, occasional fork-lift operation, electrical and mechanical work with various tools, working conditions can be physically and mentally challenging.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Human ResourcesManage workload/schedule for Maintenance Employees.Enforce Safety Requirements within the facility.Must follow and support all Food Safety Programs, Policies and PPE as designated.Conduct performance evaluations for Maintenance Employees.Handle disciplinary issues with Maintenance Employees according to the Company’s progressive discipline policy.AdministrativeResearch and purchase necessary supplies, equipment and services for the Manufacturing Equipment, Maintenance Shop, Building and Grounds.Maintain the Maintenance Tracking Software Database.Schedule and follow up on Preventative Maintenance activities.Negotiate pricing for purchases.Act as primary interface with our equipment manufacturers for troubleshooting, parts ordering, equipment upgrades and technical visits.Serve as the Leader for equipment installations and modifications.Maintain adequate spare parts inventories for critical parts.Work FocusFlexible hours to accomplish required objectives.Work on the floor with the other Maintenance employees to accomplish necessary objectives.Regularly review progress with the Plant Manager.Preserve the safety and integrity of the Company.Lead employees toward continuous improvement in systems, equipment and performance.Implement cost containment initiatives.Follow and support all Food Safety Programs, Policies and PPE as designated.Perform all other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.Qualifications & Requirements:Knowledge of PLC logic.Able to read schematics and blueprints.Capable and knowledgeable in 480v, 240v and transformed 24v power.Understanding of electrical panel and drive components.A/C and D/C motor knowledge.Understand gear trains, shafts/journals, pulleys, bushings and bearings.Competent in Microsoft Office applications.Able to fabricate and fix mechanical parts.Follow Daily/Weekly/Monthly housekeeping procedures.Participate in the Safety Committee and lead Safety initiatives.Ability to meet tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and vendors/contractors.Demonstrate capability and willingness to understand complex written and oral instructions.Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.Able to multi-task under pressure, exhibit exceptional organizational skills and acute attention to detail.Exhibit strong character with the
