Tool Die Technician

Job Description Job Summary:The Tool and Die Technician is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, and molds used in manufacturing processes. This role ensures the production of high-quality components by providing efficient and accurate tooling solutions, adhering to safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Design, construct, and modify tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures based on engineering specifications.Maintain and repair existing tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on tooling issues to minimize downtime.Collaborate with engineers and production teams to develop new tooling solutions.Perform precision measurements and inspections to ensure tools meet quality standards.Maintain accurate documentation of tooling designs, modifications, and maintenance activities.Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process enhancements and cost-saving measures.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Tool and Die Technician or similar role in manufacturing or industrial settings.Strong knowledge of machining, welding, and fabrication techniques.Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and other design tools.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Skilled in the use of hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in tool and die making preferred.Working Conditions:Primarily working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and potential hazards.May require standing for extended periods and occasional overtime to meet production deadlines.Company DescriptionAs a global leader in manufacturing, we offer exciting opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects, develop your skills, and make a meaningful impact in the automotive industry.
