Journeyman Electrician
Key Responsibilities: Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems for: Solar PV systems Battery storage systems EV charging stations Perform main panel upgrades and install subpanels Install and wire EV chargers (Level 2 and above) Handle solar electrical components like inverters, disconnects, and interconnections Assist with battery system setup and basic troubleshooting Read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams Ensure all work follows NEC and local electrical codes Use testing tools (multimeters, clamp meters, etc.) to identify issues Perform service calls, maintenance, and system checks Supervise junior electricians and labor staff when required Coordinate with project managers and team members Maintain proper documentation and reports Follow safety standards and keep job sites clean Requirements: Valid California Journeyman Electrician License Experience in residential or commercial electrical work Knowledge of NEC codes (especially solar, storage, and EV charging) Experience with panel upgrades and electrical service work Ability to read electrical plans and diagrams Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Comfortable working independently and in a team Clean driving record and willingness to travel to job sites Preferred (Nice to Have): EVITP Certification Experience with solar systems, battery storage, or EV chargers
