Key responsibilities include:\nAssessing existing cloud resources, determining any changes that may be needed to improve system performance, and making recommendations.\nProviding guidance to engineers and developers on the team based on best practices to ensure the infrastructure continues to support fluctuating demands.\nWorking with the government IT operations and other teams to develop strategies and action plans for implementing upgrades and integrations to program applications.\nPeriodic on-call support, shared across engineering team members\nMaintain and enforce logging, monitoring, and alerting.\nMaintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and agile metrics.\nRequired Education, Experience, and Skills:\nBachelor's degree with eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment OR No Bachelor's degree with ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment.\nStrong proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration. Ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience managing enterprise Linux servers.\nDiagnose application errors, network issues, or server problems by analyzing log entries.\nIdentify bottlenecks by analyzing system resource usage.\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written\nExcellent active listening skills\nAbility to discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level government officials\nAbility to problem-solve and develop solutions to complex business needs\nCertification(s)\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional (preferred)\nRed Hat Certified Engineer or Red Hat Certified System Administrator\n\nPreferred Education, Experience, and Skills:\nExperience with:\nDevSecOps pipeline tools including configuration management, requirements (e.g. JIRA), automated testing, automated deployments (CI/CD pipelines), blue green deployments, and branching strategy and implementation.\nDesigning and implementing Cloud-based AWS solutions.\nWriting/maintaining Infrastructure as Code with languages such as Terraform and Ansible\nDesigning logical and network diagrams.\nExperience managing AWS resources in FedRamp Approved GovCloud.\nOutlining evaluation benchmarks for system performance assessments.\nImplementing technical architecture standards based on industry best practices.\nEngaging stakeholders, understanding their needs, and translating those needs into a minimum viable product.\nProviding advice to project teams around technical solutions, best practices, and efficiencies.\nReviewing environments to detect deficiencies, recommending, planning, and implementing solutions for improvement.\nProviding leadership for strategic planning or complex problem solving for programs and projects including the creation, maintenance, and governance of roadmaps.\nPerforming functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships.\nLeading the development, implementation of robust, quantitative technology evaluation processes.\nDocumenting performance criteria and testing strategies, quantifying results, trade-offs and recommendations using a data-driven approach to support conclusions.\nReviewing design documents to ensure that they follow the industry and Government standards.\nPresenting architecture design documents to the client and revising based on client feedback to obtain client approval.\nMaintaining awareness and expertise of the latest cloud and infrastructure, orchestration, and automation visualization technologies to proactively support the adoption of beneficial new capabilities.\nInteracting and collaborating with specialists to successfully migrate applications and data to the cloud.\nDriving innovation and improving performance of the applications in scope.\nProviding recommendations and implementing ways to modernize technology to meet business demands in a cost-effective manner.\n\nWho We Are\nDev Technology is a growing IT company with an employee-centric culture that works on mission-critical projects for the federal government.
