We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care on the Med Surg Unit.\n\n- Shift: Day Shift, 0630 to 1830 \n- Schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts \n- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week \n\nPosition Summary \nAs a Med/Surg RN, you will: \n- Provide critical observation and care to patients in the Med Surg Unit. \n- Assess and prioritize patient care effectively. \n- Administer nursing procedures and monitor patients continuously. \n- Document assessments and changes in patient conditions thoroughly. \n- Educate patients and families about care plans and treatments. \n- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care, helping to prevent readmissions. \n\nRequired Qualifications \nCandidates must have: \n- Current Colorado RN license in good standing. \n- Current AHA BLS certification for healthcare providers. \n- Current ACLS certification, or willingness to complete within 3 months. \n- Current PALS certification, or willingness to complete within 3 months. \n- Cerner EHR experience required. \n- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and EHR systems. \n- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English. \n\nPreferred Qualifications \n- Minimum of two years of Med Surg experience strongly desired. \n- BSN preferred but not required. \n- Additional language skills are a bonus. \n\nEssential Responsibilities \nAs a Med/Surg RN, you will: \n- Deliver patient care within the RN scope of practice. \n- Perform comprehensive assessments and care planning. \n- Monitor patients for changes and communicate with providers. \n- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time. \n- Operate infusion pumps and document in the EHR. \n- Educate patients and families about disease processes and treatment plans. \n- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient care. \n- Mentor other nursing staff and support continuous learning. \n\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements \n- Fast-paced hospital setting with exposure to various stressors. \n- Position involves performing heavy work, including lifting and assisting with patient movement. \n- Potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other health risks.\n\nWhy Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): \nAt CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
