This role sits at the intersection of engineering, program management, systems integration, and stakeholder coordination for a software development program, and will be the respective program's point of contact for the coordination all software related to the Space Suit program at Axiom Space located in Houston, TX.\nKey Duties:\nDefine integration strategies and schedules in alignment with program needs.\nPlan how the software delivery from the various software teams will work together to meet program objectives.\nIdentify program software risk early and elevate that to the program and functional leaders for awareness, impact assessment, and mitigation strategies.\nOversee software builds and integration environments specific to the program, but in alignment with Axiom's goal to have a streamlined software product delivery with reuse/reuse with adjustments where possible.\nSupport system-level testing and validation.\nDevelop and maintain integration plans and resolve compatibility issues between systems. Coordinate contingency plans when integration problems arise.\nTrack milestones, risks, and dependencies.\nCoordinate cross-functional schedules and escalate issues that could delay delivery.\nReport software development/delivery status to program leadership.\nEnsure integration activities stay on schedule.\nAct as the primary point of contact between software engineering, systems engineering, hardware teams, QA/testing, DevSecOps, etc. for this program.\nDrive issue resolution across organizations and facilitate intentional technical meetings.\nCoordinate various testing and V&V efforts for all program specific software in alignment with the Axiom Software Engineering V&V plan.\nCollaborate with the Software Release Manager to coordinate software releases, ensuring all components are compatible prior to deployment, and review release readiness criteria.\nCollaborate with the respective stakeholders to deliver program specific integration plans, Interface control documents (ICDs), architecture diagrams, release documentation, risk registers, and status reports.\nThis role does not directly manage people but orchestrates the overall software delivery for the respective program.\nCommunicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.\nImplementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.\nPerform additional job duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Skills, Experience, and Education:\nDue to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for consideration at this time.\nAbility to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.\n10 or more years or related experience.\nSolid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)\nExperience with systems integration\nFamiliarity with agile methodology and the scrum framework\nProven leadership experience including project management, stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, technical decision-making, risk management, and prioritization.\nGood communication skills.\nTrack record of making things happen in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.\nUses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges.\nDemonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high quality results.\nB.S. in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems, and 10 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nBusiness Profile:\nCimarron is a global solutions company with a strategic partnering approach to satisfying customer-driven requirements.
