PRODUCTION HELPER/DRIVERThe Gettysburg Times is hiring dependable production employees and drivers to join our evening operations team. We are seeking individuals who take pride in accuracy, timeliness and teamwork to support our newspaper production and distribution processes.Production Helper (Part-Time, Second Shift)Production helpers will be assigned to the second shift and will assist in the mailroom and production area. Primary duties include transporting newspaper sections from the press to the inserting machine, monitoring and operating inserting pockets, ensuring sections are correctly collated, and helping with light maintenance and housekeeping tasks in the production area. This position requires standing for extended periods, the ability to lift and carry bundles of papers, and attention to detail to maintain quality control during high-volume runs. This role is part-time and typically follows a late afternoon to evening schedule.Driver (Part-Time, Late Second / Early Third Shift)Drivers deliver newspaper bundles to retail locations, racks and post offices two or three nights per week. Drivers should be comfortable handling bundled papers, navigating a delivery route, and coordinating with store personnel. Typical hours are late second shift into early third shift, often starting after printing and distribution preparation are complete. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.Applicants who want additional hours may be able to combine production helper and driver responsibilities.
