(GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.\n\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Agile Mission Systems (AMS) team here in San Diego in support of the Radar Production Project Engineering team.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nWith limited direction, provide leadership, direction, and guidance to a multi-discipline engineering team by determining technical objectives and/or solutions to resolve highly technical and complex engineering problems across development, manufacturing, and sustainment programs.\nManage and execute complex cross-functional projects involving software and hardware components to cost, schedule, and performance expectations.\nLead system level Qualification, Verification and Validation Testing of hardware and software with emphasis placed on deriving & tracking test requirements, generation of system level Test Plans and Procedures, conducting Lab/Ground/Flight testing.\nQuickly grasp and understand the full scope of radar integration activities and come up to speed quickly in new areas. Take on high-level problems and recommend a technical path forward\nDemonstrate proficiency in problem solving, root cause analysis and drawing change procedures\nStrong ability to collaborate and draw support and guidance from senior engineering staff and program management offices.\nOther duties as assigned or required\nWe recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.\n\nJob Qualifications\n\nTypically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; six or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, four or more years of experience with a masters degree, or two or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.\nMust have previous experience in technical leadership with an emphasis on project execution as well as product innovation.\nMust have a working knowledge of System Engineering concepts, Root Cause Analysis, Top - Down system requirements and Bottom - Up test methodology.\nMust have excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
