We are looking for someone who can take computer vision algorithms and turn them into working systems that operate with real cameras, processors and aircraft under real-world conditions.\n\n*What You’ll Do*\n\nDevelop and integrate computer vision algorithms for UAV and autonomous system applications.\n\nBuild real-time image and video processing pipelines.\n\nWork with object detection, classification, tracking, localization and related vision technologies.\n\nIntegrate cameras and vision systems with embedded computing platforms.\n\nOptimize vision algorithms for real-time performance on resource constrained hardware.\n\nWork with electrical, embedded, mechanical and flight test engineers to integrate vision systems into aircraft.\n\nCollect, organize and evaluate image and flight test datasets.\n\nDevelop tools for testing, visualization, debugging and performance evaluation.\n\nTroubleshoot issues involving cameras, processing hardware, latency, synchronization and image quality.\n\nSupport field and flight testing and use test results to improve system performance.\n\nDocument software architecture, interfaces, test procedures and performance.\n\n*What We’re Looking For*\n\nBachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.\n\nProfessional experience developing computer vision systems.\n\nStrong proficiency in C++ and Python.\n\nExperience with OpenCV and modern computer vision frameworks.\n\nExperience with object detection, tracking, image processing or visual localization.\n\nExperience deploying computer vision workloads to embedded or edge computing hardware.\n\nStrong understanding of camera systems, image processing and real-time software.\n\nExperience with Linux development environments.\n\nExperience with NVIDIA Jetson, CUDA, TensorRT or similar embedded acceleration platforms is strongly preferred.\n\nUAV, robotics, autonomous systems or aerospace experience is a plus.\n\nExperience with ROS or ROS2 is a plus.\n\nThis position requires regular onsite work at our Austin facility.\n\n*Position Details*\n\nThis is a contract to hire position.
