This position is responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, ensuring accurate inventory movement, supporting production requirements, and maintaining a safe work environment.\r\nThe ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while adhering to quality, productivity, and inventory control standards.\r\nThis position is located in our Vincent, Alabama warehouse .\r\nJob Requirements\r\nBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required.\r\nMinimum of six (6) months of forklift operating experience.\r\nAbility to obtain and maintain Forklift Certification.\r\nBasic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.\r\nAbility to read, interpret, and compare words, numbers, labels, and work orders accurately.\r\nAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.\r\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\r\nEssential Job FunctionSafely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to transport, load, unload, stack, and store materials efficiently, accurately, and safely\r\nStage materials for production and distribution activities.\r\nPerform manual material handling, stacking, and unloading activities as needed.\r\nUtilize barcode scanners and inventory management systems to track material transactions and allocate work orders.\r\nAssist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory accuracy initiatives.\r\nVerify product quantities and locations using measuring devices and storage layouts.\r\nConduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment.\r\nReport equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards to supervision promptly.\r\nFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA guidelines.\r\nMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.\r\nSupport quality standards by ensuring accurate handling and movement of materials.\r\nVulcan Industries is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
