Applicants requiring visa sponsorship to start employment with Eversource will not be considered.\r\nRole and Scope of Position\r\nSupports the implementation of the Eversource Quality Control (QC) program as it relates to construction, maintenance, meter service, leak survey, corrosion, damage prevention, LNG and I&R activities at Eversource Gas. Ensures that work and activities are performed in accordance with federal, state, and company construction standards and procedures and all safety rules and standards established by the Company and required by law. The QC Specialist has authority to direct and stop work to ensure compliance with all requirements, and is an authorized company representative on job sites.\r\nEssential Functions\r\nEnsures safe work practices according to the Company's Health and Safety Handbook and Contractor Safety Manual.\r\nEnsures all work activities comply with Gas Distribution construction standards and operating procedures; verifies qualified personnel.\r\nVerifies work packages are in order with appropriate work procedures, mark-out ticket, and mapping information.\r\nMonitors resources associated with the Company's re-dig program.\r\nSupports onboarding of contractor crews and verifies the Operator Qualification Plan is followed.\r\nIdentifies non-compliant conditions and recommends corrective action.\r\nResponsible for accurate documentation of inspection results.\r\nResponsible for the Company's gas quality control programs.\r\nPerforms activities contributing to the annual gas inspection plan, including random inspections and re-dig program activities.\r\nWill be assigned an ERP role and support Gas or Electric during ERP or Work Continuation events as required.\r\nTechnical Knowledge, Skills, Education, Licenses and Certifications\r\nTechnical Knowledge/Skills:\r\nKnowledge of gas construction and maintenance standards, work practices and procedures, and safety requirements.\r\nKnowledge of assessments and audits.\r\nKnowledge and use of gas business information and office automation.\r\nStrong technical writing and oral communication skills.\r\nFamiliar with MS Office suite and adaptable to other PC-based software tools.\r\nEducation\r\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, related discipline or equivalent experience.\r\nExperience\r\nThree (3) to five (5) years of experience in gas distribution, utility or technical experience preferred.\r\nLicenses & Certifications:\r\nExpected to become Eversource Operator Qualified.\r\nWorking Conditions\r\nPosition categorized as safety-sensitive; subject to pre-assignment and random drug testing.\r\nWork both in an office environment and in the field for audits, training and problem resolution.\r\nPhysical demands: sit, walk, use hands, lift up to 15 lbs; required vision abilities include close vision.\r\nExposure to explosive gas, high-noise levels, traffic and construction site hazards.\r\nMust be available for emergency restoration assignments and travel between MA/CT/NH.\r\nMental Aspects\r\nAnalyzing, planning, organizing, evaluating, and documenting.\r\nWorks in a high-pressure environment with multiple simultaneous activities and tight deadlines.\r\nCompetencies\r\nBuild trusting relationships\r\nManage and develop people\r\nFoster teamwork and cross-functional collaboration\r\nLead change\r\nCommunicate strategic vision\r\nCreate an engaged workforce\r\nFocus on the customer\r\nTake ownership & accountability\r\nCompensation and Benefits\r\nEversource offers a competitive total rewards program.
