You’ll design and operate pipelines, shape semantic models in Power BI / Fabric, optimize and manage our Azure Stack. This role will also involve optimizing our ERP data structures and ETL services.\nSkills\nAzure, Etl, Python, Sql, Data, Data warehouse\nAdditional Skills & Qualifications\nDesign, build, and maintain ETL pipelines, currently with SSIS.\nDesign and implement Azure data assets.\nBuild and maintain Power BI semantic models, optimizing for refresh and query performance.\nLeverage Microsoft Fabric for end-to-end analytics workflows, governance, and distribution.\nManage integrations with external APIs/Applications such as Power BI, Azure DevOps, SalesForce CRM, Princeton TMX.\nAdminister and optimize On-Prem SQL, Oracle, Azure SQL objects, ensuring data quality and reliability.\nPartner with end users and business stakeholders to gather requirements, perform testing and QA, and ensure smooth handoff of deliverables.\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve pipeline reliability, cost, and performance.\nData design and preparation for use with AI tools\nBachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.\n3-5 years of professional data engineering experience in a production environment.\nHands-on experience with orchestration tools.\nProficiency with a modeling framework (such as Dagster, Airflow/Prefect.\nIntermediate Python (data access, transformations, packaging/venv, type-safe code, unit tests, etc).\nSQL Expertise (advanced T-SQL, PL/SQL), window functions, performance tuning, query plans, indexing strategies, partitioning.\nAzure Data Lake, Data Factory, and other data-centric toolsets.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI semantic modeling (dimensional design, DAX measures).\nLinux/Bash skills.\nAPI/application integrations experience (REST/JSON, OAuth2/Keys, Odata).\nVersion control with Git and collaborative workflows (PR’s, code reviews, etc).\nStrong communication, documentation, and stakeholder partnership skills.\nInteractive Data Visualization Design and Implementation.\nExperience Level\nIntermediate Level\nJob Type & Location\nThis is a Permanent position based out of Columbia City, IN.\nPay and Benefits\nThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $112000.00/yr.\nSteel Dynamics puts employees first with a robust benefits package.
