Experienced Diesel Technician / Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic Sheboygan, WI

Location: Sheboygan, WISchedule: Full-Time | First Shift | Monday-FridayAbout The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join a growing service team supporting heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to work in a professional environment that values technical expertise, continuous training, and career growth.This position offers a consistent first-shift schedule with no nights or weekends, allowing for a strong work-life balance while working on a wide variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.Diagnose vehicle issues based on customer concerns and inspection findings.Troubleshoot and repair electrical, suspension, steering, driveline, transmission, and brake systems.Perform engine repairs and component replacements.Repair and replace major components including injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, cylinder heads, bearings, clutches, transmissions, differentials, and related systems.Utilize computerized diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.Complete repair orders and service documentation accurately.Conduct road tests as needed to verify repairs.Follow all workplace safety procedures and industry best practices.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum 5 years of diesel technician or diesel mechanic experience.Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel electrical systems.Experience with:Brake systems (air and hydraulic)Steering systemsDriveline componentsTransmissionsDiesel enginesAbility to operate computerized diagnostic equipment.Must possess personal tools required to perform job duties.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).Preferred QualificationsASE Certifications.EPA 608/609 Certifications.OEM manufacturer training.Experience diagnosing and rebuilding major components including engines, transmissions, and differentials.Experience with Cummins engines.Experience servicing medium- and heavy-duty truck brands.Vocational or technical training in diesel technology.What You'll Find HereStable Monday-Friday scheduleNo nights or weekend workSupportive team environmentOpportunity to mentor developing techniciansOngoing technical and OEM training opportunitiesTool allowance programsCareer advancement opportunitiesLong-term employment stabilityPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and move heavy components and tools.Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.Ability to safely operate shop equipment and vehicles.Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
