CARPENTER/ Project Manager – PROPERTY DAMAGE RESTORATION Protechs is a Residential and Commercial Property Damage Restoration company in Fort Wayne Indiana seeking to hire a full-time career minded, motivated Carpenter with solid Rough and Finish Carpentry and Supervisory experience. This position is responsible for managing restoration, loss and repair projects from inception to completion. You will be required to not only manage technicians and sub-contractors on the job, but do much of the rough and finish carpentry work as needed. You will be responsible for each project under your supervision to ensure it is run with a high degree of quality workmanship and customer service at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Daily job responsibilities/functions include, but not limited to: · Rough and Finish Carpentry work including Windows, Siding, Doors, Drywall, Flooring, Plumbing and Roofing · Meet with the Customer, the Estimator and the Project Coordinator to review estimate, room by room and discuss any work being done as well as any changes to be made or deviations from the original estimate · Manage and prioritize all jobs from inception to completion to stay within budget and timelines with strict adherence to company standards and quality · Manage technicians and subcontractors · Analyze problems and makes recommendations to resolve problems · Follow-up on customer inquiries and questions · Maintain open communication with customers, employees and subcontractors · Complete all necessary paperwork and review with customer at the end of each job KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Superior Rough and Finish Carpentry skills · Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills · Positive attitude and good Leadership skills · Ability to successfully run a crew of workers and keep them on task · Willingness to work alongside your crew each day · Good customer service skills – you will be working with homeowners and business owners in stressful circumstances · Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and good time management skills · Ability to exercise good judgment and decision making · Ability to adhere to company policies and guidelines · Good computer, math and conflict resolution skills · Ability to complete required paperwork in a timely and efficient manner · Honesty, Intelligence, High Energy, Sense of Humor QUALIFICATIONS: · Valid Driver’s License with good driving record · Fluent English (Written and Verbal) · Acceptable Criminal Background Check (No Felony convictions or Misdemeanors involving endangerment of others while under the influence of drugs or alcohol) · Pass drug and alcohol screening and DOT physical exam · A minimum 2 years of Customer Service experience · A minimum 2 years Supervisory experience · A minimum 4 years as a Rough and Finish Carpenter · References who will attest to your skills and abilities HOW TO APPLY: · Send a resume’ listing ALL your qualifications, carpentry skills and experience, including work history Protechs is an equal opportunity employer.
