In addition to our Restaurant and Market, we will be hosting a variety of banquets and events in creating memorable experiences.\nJob Summary\nThe Server’s purpose is to serve food and beverages and to provide a positive dining experience for guests and members by ensuring they feel welcome, comfortable, and important. The goal is to provide a memorable dining experience for each guest’s overall satisfaction and enhances the reputation of the Adobe Clubhouse food outlets.\nJDM Golf Teammates will role model the core values and behaviors by:\nCultivating a positive work environment.\nBeing efficient with time at work.\nCommunicating effectively with management, co-workers, and guests.\nBeing flexible.\nMaintaining integrity in all conversations and actions.\nConsistently reporting to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.\nFollowing internal procedures and external regulations; and reporting issues to management.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nThe duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee’s position.\nCustomer Service:\nGreet guests / members in a warm and friendly manner.\nAnswer questions about the menu.\nMake recommendations based on customer preferences.\nMenu Knowledge:\nDescribe dishes accurately including ingredients and preparation methods.\nStaying updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen is running out of any item.\nAnswer questions on dietary restrictions or special requests.\nOrder Taking:\nTake orders accurately by writing down the order and then entering the order into the POS at the server\nSuggest additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue.\nTiming and Coordination:\nCoordination with kitchen staff is important in timing of orders.\nEnsure food and beverage is served promptly and at an appropriate flow.\nTable Maintenance:\nMonitor tables, ensure guests and members have everything they need (e.g., water refills, utensils, etc.).\nClear empty dishes, as needed\nPrepares tables, lays out napkins and utensils, making sure condiments are refilled, and performing all other preparation tasks.\nHandle payment process accurately and timely.\nOther:\nMay be scheduled to work at banquet events.\nParticipates in pre-shift meetings, taste tests, and training.\nPerforms side work, as assigned.\nConform with all safety standards and use of all appropriate safety equipment.\nFollow good personal hygiene guidelines.\nPerforms other duties, as assigned.\nEducation and Experience Required\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)\nTwo to three years related server experience and/or training preferred\nExperience working at banquet events helpful but willing to provide training\nSkills and Abilities\nPossess strong interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional service – should be friendly, approachable, and attentive.\nStrong attention to detail and time management skills.\nStrong teamwork and collaboration: Ability to collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, bussers, and other restaurant staff.\nStrong communication skills including effective listening.\nHighly organized to manage multiple tables.\nFlexible and adaptable to changes in workflow, menu items, staff, etc.\nAbility to remain calm during peak hours or challenging guests or members.\nComfortable in upselling.\nDemonstrated working knowledge of food handling regulations.\nComputer Skills\nRequired:\nAbility to use Point of Sale (POS) System\nAbility to use employee self-service on company’s human resources/payroll database\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations\nRequired: Position may utilize golf carts; thus, must have a valid driver’s license.\nUnexpired Arizona food and liquor certifications. Must meet age requirements to handle and serve alcoholic beverages. Must be at least 19 years of age.\nOther\nRegular attendance is required. Additional hours including weekends may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position. At times, an individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
