Responsibilities### Platform Architecture* Architect and build end-to-end platform solutions, backend services, RESTful APIs, and front-end interfaces where needed.* Apply **object-oriented programming, domain-driven design (DDD), event-driven architecture, and microservices** patterns to build maintainable and scalable systems.* Own the technical direction of platform-wide services and APIs.### Microservices & Event-Driven Systems* Design, build, and operate scalable **microservices and event-driven architectures**.* Evolve platform architectures as usage and engineering team requirements grow.* Drive reliable, maintainable architecture across multiple technology domains.### APIs & Developer Experience* Own core platform APIs built using **RESTful principles**.* Develop shared frameworks that simplify how engineering teams build and integrate with platform services.* Create clear, accessible technical documentation that enables teams to use platform capabilities independently.* Continuously simplify engineering workflows and improve developer experience.### Cloud-Native Engineering* Architect and modernize cloud-native services on **Microsoft Azure and/or AWS**.* Partner with cloud and DevOps engineering teams on reliability, scalability, and cost considerations.### Agentic AI & LLM Integration* Lead the integration of **agentic AI, LLM, and MCP-based capabilities** into platform services.* Evaluate and apply AI coding tools such as **Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor**, and similar technologies.* Establish practical guidelines for responsible AI-assisted development, including where AI accelerates engineering work and where it introduces risk.* Evaluate emerging AI technologies based on their practical value to the platform.### Technical Leadership & Mentorship* Mentor senior and lead engineers, including responsible use of AI development tools.* Influence technical direction across engineering teams.* Serve as a go-to technical Qualifications### Experience* **10+ years of professional software engineering experience**.* Experience architecting complex, end-to-end platform solutions across multiple technology domains.* Proven experience designing and building scalable platform services and APIs.* Proven full-stack experience, including designing and building RESTful APIs from the data layer through consuming services.### Software Engineering* Strong command of **object-oriented programming and design patterns**.* Strong experience with: * Domain-Driven Design (DDD) * Event-driven architecture * Microservices* Proficiency in at least one backend programming language: * **Java** * **C#** * **Python**### AI & Development Tools* Hands-on experience building **AI-powered features**, including LLMs and AI agents.* Experience using AI coding tools such as **Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor** responsibly to accelerate software development.* Ability to evaluate and manage the risks and benefits of AI-assisted development.### Cloud & Architecture* Deep, hands-on experience with **cloud-native architecture on Azure and/or AWS**.* Experience designing scalable and maintainable platform
