Supervisor – Aviation Ground Safety

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and safety‑driven Supervisor – Aviation Ground Safety to lead and support ground safety operations within an aviation maintenance environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety of personnel, aircraft, equipment, and facilities while promoting a strong, proactive safety culture.The successful candidate will manage ground safety programs, conduct risk assessments and investigations, deliver safety training, and work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure full compliance with aviation safety regulations and industry standards.ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate the Aviation Ground Safety and Occupational Health ProgramImplement and monitor Ground Safety Management System (SMS) practicesConduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across aviation maintenance operationsIdentify hazards and implement corrective and preventive safety measuresInvestigate incidents, accidents, and near‑misses; prepare detailed reports and recommendationsDevelop, implement, and deliver safety education and training programsPromote safety awareness and a Just Safety Culture across all levelsEnsure compliance with local regulations, customer requirements, and aviation safety standardsCollaborate with customer representatives and cross‑functional teams on safety initiativesSupervise and mentor ground safety and HSE personnelSupport emergency response planning and safety‑related initiativesQualifications & ExperienceMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related fieldGraduate of a recognized Aviation or Ground Safety Officer course (ASOC, GSOC, or equivalent)Preferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related disciplineProfessional safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, BCSP or equivalent)Aviation maintenance background or UAEMAR Part 66 LicenseExperience:Minimum 7 years of experience in occupational safety and healthPreferred:7+ years military experience as a Safety Officer or10+ years civilian experience in aviation safetyAdditional RequirementsWillingness to relocate and work in Abu Dhabi, UAEValid driving license is mandatoryAbility to work in operational and industrial environmentsStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skillsWhy Join Us?Play a key role in mission‑critical aviation safety operationsWork in a professional, high‑standards aviation environmentOpportunity to lead impactful safety initiativesCompetitive compensation and benefits package
