Dock Supervisor – Transloading","description":"Position SummaryA well-established logistics company is seeking an experienced Loading Dock Supervisor – Transloading to oversee daily loading dock operations and lead warehouse personnel.This is a hands-on supervisory position responsible for inbound and outbound freight operations, staff coordination, workplace safety, inventory accuracy, and efficient loading and unloading processes.The ideal candidate has strong warehouse and loading dock experience, forklift operation experience, and the leadership skills to manage a fast-paced logistics environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily inbound and outbound shipping and receiving activities at the loading dockSupervise dock workers and material handlers, including assigning daily tasksPrepare and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverageCoordinate loading and unloading activities to improve efficiency and reduce truck turnaround timesDirect truck drivers and manage dock door assignmentsInspect incoming and outgoing freight against bills of lading, manifests, and purchase ordersIdentify and resolve damaged goods, shortages, overages, and other shipment discrepanciesEnsure compliance with OSHA, company safety standards, and proper PPE requirementsMonitor the safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, dock levelers, and other material handling equipmentCoordinate the sorting, staging, and movement of freight throughout the warehouseMaintain accurate records of dock activities, shipment volumes, and staff attendanceWork closely with Transloading and Import/Export teamsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe loading dock environmentSupport ISO-related procedures, documentation, and staff trainingQualificationsMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling operationsHands-on forklift operation experience requiredPrevious lead, supervisory, or team guidance experience strongly preferredStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to effectively resolve shipping, operational, and workflow issuesProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExperience with freight forwarding or transportation management software is a plusReliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shiftAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipmentWork Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMClassification:
