Job Description Job Title: Lead Core Stacking TechnicianLocation: Houston, Tx 77042Type: Direct hirePosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Lead Core Stacking Technician to assemble transformer core components using precision-cut materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow technical instructions, and a commitment to quality. You'll also help support training and process improvements as we ramp up operations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a clean and organized work areaComplete production and quality documentationSafely handle materials using cranes or lifting equipmentSupport training of new team members and share best practicesIdentify and fix defects such as misalignment or damaged partsInspect materials and finished assemblies to meet quality standardsAssemble transformer core components (yokes, legs) using pre-cut laminationsFollow work instructions and drawings to ensure proper alignment and accuracyRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED5+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience3+ years of mechanical or precision assembly experienceAbility to read technical drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, gauges)Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periodsComfortable working in an industrial environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in transformer or electrical equipment assemblyExperience with tight-tolerance or precision buildsAssociate degree in a technical field (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics)Experience training others or supporting process improvementsOverhead crane experience Company Description Balance Staffing is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
