You’ll assist with process improvements, help maintain safety and grain quality, and contribute to efficiency across the department. This role offers opportunities to lead projects, mentor team members, and play a key role in operational success.\n\nPosition Responsibilities\n\nOversee elevator operations and maintain grain quality standards\n\nIdentify and implement improvements in efficiency, safety, and reliability\n\nConduct safety and housekeeping audits; address hazards promptly\n\nEnsure environmental compliance and manage rail tracks/unloading operations\n\nLead projects focused on energy reduction, cost savings, and operational reliability\n\nProvide leadership, mentoring, and training for team development\n\nCollaborate with commercial and plant teams to support overall operations\n\nModel and enforce all safety practices\n\nPosition Requirements\n\nBachelor’s degree is preferred\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\n\n2-3 years of grain handling experience\n\nExperience leading plant safety programs and hazard analysis\n\nAbility to plan, organize, and manage people, schedules, and resources\n\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written\n\nProven leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and train teams\n\nSkilled in conflict resolution and fair, direct coaching\n\nProblem‑solving and organizational skills with a focus on continuous improvement\n\nWorking knowledge of Maximo and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Access, SharePoint)\n\nPosition Physical Requirements\nThe physical requirements of the job include the ability to climb stairs, prolonged periods of standing and sitting, computer work, meeting deadlines, providing calculated information, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, working adjusted hours, and working as instructed.
