You will play a crucial role in engineering a modernization effort to converge our customer’s authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED\nBring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The DevOps Engineer must have:\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.\nExperience: 15+ years of related experience\nTechnical skills: A strong DevOps background will be needed to deploy applications, install and configure complex software, manage network servers and technology tools, monitor and maintain the system for required levels of performance and trouble shoot issues and outages.\nSecurity clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly\nUS citizenship required\n\nRole requirements: Candidates must have experience with:\nLinux\n\nAWS, MASH, and VMs\n\nDocker Swarm\n\nDeployments of distributed web applications (e.g. GitLab CI/CD)\n\nTerraform scripting and VM provisioning\n\nAnsible scripting and development\n\nThorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology\n\nGit\n\nDesired experience includes:\nPython scripting and development\n\nNiFi maintenance and configuration\n\nElasticsearch maintenance and configuration\n\nJava / Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)\n\nHAProxy\n\nMongoDB\n\nCandidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly 1 week out of every 4-6 weeks).
