OverviewWelcome Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the AC Hotel Pasadena, a lifestyle property designed with AC's signature European-inspired ethos. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experience, strong community engagement, and sustainable profitability.This role requires a dynamic culture leader who thrives in the competitive Los Angeles hospitality market. The GM will be accountable for driving financial performance, elevating guest satisfaction, and inspiring a team culture that reflects both the AC brand standards and Welcome Group's entrepreneurial spirit.Key Responsibilities· Develop and articulate an inspiring vision aligned with Welcome Group's goals and AC brand positioning.· Promote a culture of accountability, motivation, and empowerment across all departments.· Champion aggressive hospitality and deliver exceptional guest experiences across all touchpoints, including Osa rooftop bar and the AC Lounge.· Proactively manage guest feedback and reputation management platforms to maintain best-in-market guest satisfaction scores.· Develop, monitor, and manage hotel budgets to achieve topline and bottom-line goals.· Drive performance in RevPAR index, ADR, and GOP margin through strategic planning and operational excellence.· Collaborate with sales, marketing, and revenue teams to execute property-specific strategies that increase market share.· Identify creative promotional opportunities, leverage technology, and activate local partnerships.· Build strong relationships in the Pasadena community to elevate the hotel's visibility and attract local business.· Represent the property at local events and with key business and tourism organizations.· Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.· Recruit, mentor, and develop department leaders and staff to achieve high levels of engagement and retention.· Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development to foster continuous learning.Skills & Abilities· Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills· Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams· Strong business acumen with analytical, strategic, and forecasting skills· Skilled in interpreting market data, financial results, and competitive trends· Strategic thinker with ability to implement commercial solutions at scale· Consistently exercises professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment· Innovative, resilient, and effective in fast-paced or rapidly changing environmentsQualifications· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Hotel General Manager, with direct expertise in lifestyle or boutique properties.· Proven record of accomplishment in financial performance, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.· Demonstrated success in competitive urban markets, preferably Los Angeles or similar.· Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for leveraging technology, data, and creative promotion.· Ability to balance brand compliance with innovative, localized strategies.· Strong community presence and ability to serve as an ambassador for the property.Compensation & Benefits· Salary range: $150,000 – $180,000, plus performance-based bonus tied to property KPIs (RevPAR index, guest satisfaction, financial goals).· Full-time, on-property leadership role.· Health and dental insurance· 401(k) plan· Flexible paid time off (PTO) and company holidays· Marriott brand discounts and perks.
