{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"6fc1d8f46fcd05f86d160a16","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/6fc1d8f46fcd05f86d160a16","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/6fc1d8f46fcd05f86d160a16","title":"Tutor","description":"Job Title: Student Success Specialist\n\nDepartment: Rolla\n\nLevel: 105\n\nFLSA: Non‑Exempt\n\nThis position is located at the Rolla campus.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nCompletion of an Associate Degree; Bachelor’s preferred.\n\nTutoring experience preferred.\n\nEssential Tasks\n\nProvide student‑centered tutoring in one‑on‑one and group settings across in‑person, online, or hybrid environments.\n\nMaintain accurate and complete records to document tutoring services provided and activities conducted.\n\nSupport students from diverse backgrounds and learning levels in academic content, study strategies, and executive function skills (e.g., time management, test‑taking, study skills).\n\nAssist students with academic technologies, including word processing, presentation tools, course management systems, and computer access issues (usernames, passwords, etc.).\n\nDevelop and deliver supplemental instruction, review sessions, and bridge programming to students in collaboration with academic departments and faculty.\n\nServe as a test proctor as requested.\n\nIdentify and refer at‑risk students and support retention initiatives in collaboration with appropriate personnel.\n\nDesign promotional materials, handouts, and study aids for students.\n\nAssist students with library resources and research tools; facilitate the onsite checkout of library materials and technology equipment to support academic success.\n\nAssist with the implementation of adaptive technology, software and equipment as needed in the Student Success Center; provide adaptive technology training and assistance for students with disabilities.\n\nMonitor activity throughout the Rolla Student Success Center to help ensure a professional and student focused learning environment.\n\nPerform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.\n\nBenefits\nECC offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance with no premium cost to the employee for employee‑only coverage. Missouri Public School Retirement System benefits, generous paid leave, ECC tuition waiver for self and immediate family and tuition reimbursement benefits for employee.\n\nSalary Range\n$19.73 – $26.69 per hour. While the full salary range is provided for growth potential, most new hires are initially placed within the lower portion of the range based on experience and institutional compensation guidelines.
