This is a temp to perm or direct hire for the right candidate. Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Pay: $27-$31/hour depending on experience Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Assembler to provide day-to-day direction and support within an assembly environment while remaining actively involved in hands-on production. The Lead Assembler will help coordinate daily workloads, maintain production flow, troubleshoot assembly issues, and support the training and development of other team members. This is a working-lead position that serves as a key resource for the assembly team. The Lead Assembler will work closely with the Production Supervisor to help meet daily production, quality, and safety goals. This position does not typically have formal personnel-management authority.\r\nDuties & Responsibilities\r\nHelp establish and communicate daily work priorities and assignments.\r\nCoordinate work among Assembly employees based on production needs and individual capabilities.\r\nMonitor progress toward daily production requirements and help maintain production flow.\r\nIdentify bottlenecks, delays, material concerns, staffing issues, and other production challenges.\r\nProvide technical assistance and troubleshooting support for complex assembly issues.\r\nAssist with resolving quality and process-related concerns.\r\nTrain and coach employees on assembly procedures, work instructions, and standard processes.\r\nSupport onboarding and development of new employees.\r\nReinforce established safety, quality, productivity, and workplace standards.\r\nMonitor adherence to assembly and quality procedures.\r\nIdentify and communicate quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.\r\nReinforce proper PPE and safe work practices.\r\nCommunicate production status and significant issues to the Production Supervisor.\r\nProvide input regarding employee training needs and development opportunities.\r\nParticipate in production meetings, problem-solving activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.\r\nPerform hands-on assembly work as needed.\r\nMaintain required production and quality documentation.\r\nKeep the work area clean, organized, and safe.\r\nFollow all established company policies and procedures.\r\nPerform other duties as assigned.\r\nQualifications\r\n3+ years of relevant manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.\r\nPrevious Lead Assembler, Senior Assembler, or informal leadership experience preferred.\r\nDemonstrated proficiency in assembly processes and production requirements.\r\nStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.\r\nExperience using hand tools and power tools.\r\nAbility to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and established procedures.\r\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\r\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\r\nAbility to provide direction, coaching, and support to other employees.\r\nStrong organizational and problem-solving skills.\r\nAbility to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a production environment.\r\nDemonstrated reliability, initiative, and sound judgment.\r\nConsistent commitment to workplace safety and professionalism.\r\nAbility to perform hands-on assembly work and stand for extended periods.\r\nAbility to lift and move materials within established workplace requirements.\r\nNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
