This position is full-time and will be performed on-site in Niskayuna, NY. Candidates must have an active DOE L security clearance.\n\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and define project scope with sponsors.\n\nWork with a project team to develop specifications, cost estimates, drawing reviews, and provide engineering support during the construction phase for buildings and utility projects.\n\nOversee architectural engineering firms in developing concept designs, construction documents, and cost estimates.\n\nCoordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors.\n\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor of science in structural engineering.\n\n5-10+ years experience performing structural engineering tasks including the development of contract documents, calculations, and cost estimates.\n\nWorking knowledge of building codes and standards.\n\nExperience in construction administration (submittal review, RFI's, construction inspections, etc.).\n\nDesired Qualifications\n\nEIT certificate and/or PE license\n\nEngineering consulting experience\n\nWorking knowledge of NYS Building Codes, AISC, ASCE\n\nSecurity Clearance\nCandidates must have an active DOE L security clearance.\n\nBackground Check and Screenings\nA pre-employment drug screening and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verification is required.\n\nBenefits\nWe take pride in promoting a healthy work-life balance, family-friendly benefits, servant leadership, team values and professional growth.
