Long-Term Acute Care Registered NurseThe Long-Term Acute Care Registered Nurse provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care to medically complex patients in long-term acute settings.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient careResponsible for providing care to medically complex patientsSupervises care, treatment, and services of the patient(s)Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnosis, expected patient outcomes and selected nursing interventionsMaintains confidentiality at all times with patients, medical staff and co-workersProvides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environmentAdheres to and supports the policies/procedures/goals/objectives of the hospital in an attempt to provide quality patient careRevises plan of care according to evaluation, changes in plan of care and nursing interventionsPerforms interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and facility policies and patient care outcome standardsIdentifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirementsMinimum Requirements:Current RN license for the state in which the nurse practices inOne (1) year nursing experience in a long-term acute care facility preferredExperience in acute rehabilitation for vents, wound care, cardiac, and stable post trauma patientsComplies with all relevant professional standards of practiceParticipation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicableCurrent CPR if applicableTB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicableCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsSuccessful completion of new hire training as applicable to job siteUnderstand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirementsAbility to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is requiredComputer proficiency requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageBenefits At Amergis:Competitive pay & weekly paychecksHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) savings planAwards and recognition programs
