The Material Handler/Line Loader is also responsible for coordinating the disposal or re-use of the packaging that accumulates throughout the loading and unloading process.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nAdhere to all warehouse safety guidelines, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) preventing incidents or injury to self or others\nRead work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs\nMove freight, stock, and other materials to and from staging and processing areas using a forklift and/or pallet jack in the warehouse\nLoads materials on and off inspection lines while periodically using a hoist\nDetermine placement of material based on labels or other markings\nOther duties as assigned\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\n\nWork is performed mostly in an uncontrolled warehouse atmosphere with exposure to conditions such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. This employee must demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees are must follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and talk and hear. Standing 90%, Walking/sitting 10%.
