Jack Link's Protein Snacks family of brands includes Jack Link's, Lorissa's Kitchen, World Kitchens Jerky, Bifi and Peperami.\n\nJob Description\n\nThe Material Handler is responsible for performing tasks involving the shipping and receiving of both raw and finished materials.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:\nOperating mechanical forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks.\nOperating and maintaining RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).\nAccurate and timely selecting of customers’ orders\nAccurately completing work order sheets.\nWorking on both the Receiving and Shipping docks as needed.\nUnload trucks and validate deliveries against appropriate documentation, and notify supervisor or FSQ of discrepancies.\nUnload meat trucks and complete weighing and temperature review of each pallet and documenting each measurement. Notify Supervisor or Food Safety Quality (FSQ) of any discrepancies\nEnsure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.\nDistribute the items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.\nDaily shipments must be picked, counts verified, pallets wrapped or stacked neatly for pick-ups, marked accordingly to customer, transportation and location of shipment.\nLoad finished goods onto trailer within specified timeframe.\nMaintain an accurate inventory of finished products and supplies in the warehouse.\nSafety Operate a Forklift, Pallet Jack, and/or Strait Truck\nFollow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.\nFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).\nCleaning and maintaining warehouse floor and facilities as needed.\nPerforms other duties and responsibilities as necessary.\nFollowing set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times.\n\nQualifications\n\nRequired Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred.\nPreferred:\n1-3 Months related manufacturing or food experience, preferred.\nKnowledge of warehouse and lift trucks experience.\nBasic knowledge of supply chain, purchasing, materials, and/or Manufacturing.\nKnowledge of SAP.\nREQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES:\nExcellent attendance and dependability.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.\nAttention to detail\nWork well with others\nWorking knowledge of computers and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office\nExcellent verbal communication skills; must work effectively with others.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to be successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
