It is the responsibility of the Master Planning Analyst to coordinate important planning activities within the department and the Production facilities. This position has inter-company contacts requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nFood Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees must be aware of CCPs in their area and how to document them appropriately. All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor in charge during their shift.\nAssist and support Production & Capacity Planning Manager and Blending Specialist in daily logistics and raw materials planning.\nAnalyze and understand inventories to determine the critical availability of products required for new blends.\nGenerate and release production blends for bulk and packaged blends specific to customer specifications as well as floor stock for immediate shipment\nReview current contracts and inventories, develop variance analysis and plan new production to fulfill future product demands.\nDevelop relationships with Sales & Production to work between the teams to ensure timely information & communication regarding production availability.\nFamiliarize yourself with trends in shipments and similarities/differences in batch requirements.\nStrategically build and keep updated the companys production planning schedules to accommodate the dynamic changes within product availability and demand.\nManage ancillary ingredient inventories to ensure ability to execute customer blends on a prompt needed basis.\nTrack batch progress & status within the production process to ensure timely completion of packaged goods.\nRetrieve production information from the plant supervisory staff and group leaders as necessary.\nGenerate transfer orders between facilities to ensure inventories are available as needed.\nAssist management & team in continuous improvement initiatives to better the process in both efficiency & effectiveness.\nAssist in processing documentation within department.\nAnalyze production, sales, & inventory data and report trends to management as needed.\nAssist in entering essential data into the ERP & Production Management system.\nPerform other duties as assigned and required.\nQualifications and Education Requirements\nExcellent working knowledge in Microsoft Office Products: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and large-scale ERP applications a must.\nThe ability to organize ones thoughts, plans and communications in both written and oral communications is a must.\nMust be detailed oriented, use deductive reasoning.\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing activities including production planning processes.\nMust be able to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines.\nAbility to interact comfortably and professionally with all levels of the organization.\nThe ability to work successfully in a team environment is a must.\nThe ability to meet flexible and changing priorities with accuracy and the ability to work under pressure is a must.\nContinuous improvement mindset, exploring ways to achieve better results.\nAbility to problem solve and implement preventative measures.\nBachelors degree in finance/accounting.\nAPICS certification is very desirable.\nFive to seven (5-7) years experience in Administration or Customer Service with a food or consumer products company.\nPhysical Requirements\nWill be in an office environment and traveling environment requiring the ability to sit, stand, walk, talk and listen for extended periods of time.\nMinimal climbing, lifting and bending.","company":"Venturacoastal","rawCompany":"venturacoastal","city":"Visalia","state":"CA","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-04-12T21:02:12.730Z","occupations":[{"code":"43-5061.00","title":"Production, Planning, and Expediting Clerks","slug":"production-planning-and-expediting-clerks"},{"code":"13-1081.00","title":"Logisticians","slug":"logisticians"},{"code":"13-1081.02","title":"Logistics Analysts","slug":"logistics-analysts"}],"industries":[{"code":"311991","title":"Perishable Prepared Food Manufacturing","slug":"perishable-prepared-food-manufacturing"},{"code":"311942","title":"Spice and Extract Manufacturing","slug":"spice-and-extract-manufacturing"},{"code":"311999","title":"All Other Miscellaneous Food Manufacturing","slug":"all-other-miscellaneous-food-manufacturing"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Master Planning Analyst","description":"This position can be based in either Tipton or Ventura.\nLocation:531 West Poplar Avenue| Tipton | CA | 93272 or 2325 Vista Del Mar Drive, Ventura, CA 93001\nCompensation: $80,000 - $90,000 with bonus potential\nJob Summary\nThe Master Planning Analyst provides administrative support for materials planning and logistics.
