Sales & Conference Manager- Cescaphe Events

POSITION: Group Sales & Conference Services Manager- Cescaphe * This role emphasizes generating steady weekly sales in the hotel's conference and event spaces through proactive outreach, relationship development, and strategic sales planning.Salary + monthly- (typically $60K-$65K base + Sales Commission on bookings)Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute weekly sales strategies to book conference rooms, meeting spaces, and eventsProspect and cultivate relationships with corporate clients, meeting planners, and event organizersConduct site tours and sales presentations for potential clientsNegotiate contracts and pricing for group bookings, conferences, and eventsMaintain and grow a pipeline of leads through cold calling, networking, and relationship managementCoordinate with the operations team to ensure flawless event executionTrack sales metrics and report weekly on bookings, revenue, and pipeline activityAttend networking events and industry conferences to generate leadsKey Performance IndicatorsWeekly room nights bookedTotal revenue generated (Rooms + F&B + AV)Number of qualified leads generated per weekConversion rate from inquiry to bookingClient retention and repeat booking rateRequired Qualifications3-5 years of Philadelphia Area Hotel Sales and/or Conference Sales ExperienceProven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotasStrong knowledge of group sales, catering, and event coordinationExcellent communication and presentation skillsProficiency with CRM systems and sales tracking toolsAbility to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneouslyPreferred QualificationsExperience with Boutique Hotels and or Upscale Hotel Meeting/Conferences Established network of corporate and event planner contactsFamiliarity with the local market and competitive landscapeCertifications (CMP, CGSP, or similar)Guest Experience & MarketingUphold the company’s standards of hospitality, professionalism, and service excellence.Participate in marketing initiatives to promote catering and conference services, including outreach to local businesses and organizations.Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to expand the hotel’s market presence.Ensure that every corporate event reflects the brand’s commitment to quality, detail, and client satisfaction.Support initiatives to enhance client engagement and overall event efficiency.Provides updates to the management team regarding difficult or emotional customer situationsModels the Cescaphe Mission Statement and Core ValuesOther duties as assigned or as needed to support business needsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEPossess a four-year degree or equivalent experience Have at least three (3) years’ experience in hotel sales.Strong understanding of the catering and conference industry.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously.Requires strong communication, planning, and organizing, relational, operations, and computer skills.Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skillsThis job description is not intended to cover or include all of the tasks, duties, or responsibilities that the employee may be required to perform.
