NS2 Mission is seeking an Expert Software Developer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. As part of an Agile development team, you'll design, build, and enhance enterprise software solutions that support mission-critical operations across the Intelligence Community. This role offers the opportunity to work on modern Java applications, scalable backend services, and complex system integrations while collaborating with a team of engineers focused on delivering reliable, high-performing solutions.\n\nIf you're looking for an opportunity to solve challenging technical problems and contribute to software that has a direct mission impact, we'd love to hear from you.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and enhance enterprise Java applications supporting mission-critical capabilities.\nDesign and implement scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.\nDevelop and integrate RESTful APIs that enable communication across distributed systems.\nDesign efficient database solutions and optimize SQL queries for application performance.\nSupport the development of modern web applications using JavaScript and Angular.\nCollaborate with architects, software engineers, and mission stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.\nAnalyze and resolve software defects while improving application performance and reliability.\nParticipate in architecture discussions, peer code reviews, and technical planning sessions.\nContribute to continuous integration, testing, deployment, and long-term sustainment activities.\nPromote modern software engineering practices and contribute to continuous process improvement.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).\nExperience developing enterprise software applications using Java.\nExperience with Spring Boot or similar Java frameworks.\nExperience developing and integrating RESTful web services.\nExperience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.\nExperience with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular.\nExperience developing software within Linux/Unix environments.\nFamiliarity with Git, version control, testing methodologies, and Agile software development.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\n\n Preferred Qualifications\n\nExperience developing microservices-based architectures.\nExperience with AWS or other cloud platforms.\nFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application development.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.\nExperience with Maven, Gradle, or similar Java build tools.\n\nPosition Clearance Requirement:\n\nTS/SCI with an FSP\n\nSalary and Benefits Information:\n\nThe salary range for this position is $183,259.00 to $237,433.00. The proposed range is intended as a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, location, and contractual considerations and may fall outside of the stated range.
