leading Japanese food company based in Commerce,CAis seeking a senior-level Accountant to oversee financial analysis, report preparation, and compliance management.\n\nEssential Duties\n\nProvide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports.\n\nPrepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.\n\nPrepare various reports and work papers every quarter for external auditors.\n\nDirect internal and external audits to ensure compliance.\n\nDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.\n\nSubstantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.\n\nDocument financial transactions by entering account information.\n\nReconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.\n\nSummarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.\n\nCheck accuracy of figures, calculations and posting pertaining to transactions recorded by branches.\n\nPrepare and file government reports (sales & used tax, property tax, unclaimed property, corporate income tax).\n\nOther accountants’ duties as required to support on-going business needs and cross-training initiatives.\n\nGuide accounting clerks by coordinating activities and answering questions.\n\nInitiate and manage financial and accounting software used by the company.\n\nComplete special projects as assigned.\n\nWorking Hours, Working
