Order taker + Crew

Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Order Taker to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and customer service within quick service or fast food restaurants. This role involves taking customer orders accurately, providing excellent service, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations. Previous experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, along with knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in sales, upselling, and food handling while working in a lively café or restaurant setting. Duties Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently using POS systems like Square or Clover. Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Assist with food preparation when necessary, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the ordering area, adhering to food safety regulations Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions about menu items and dietary needs Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order fulfillment Handle bussing duties as needed to keep the dining area clean and organized Manage multiple tasks effectively through strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast food restaurants preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Knowledge of food preparation, handling, sanitation, and safety standards Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell and promote menu items effectively Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Experience in cashiering, serving, or retail environments is advantageous Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor Prior kitchen or café experience is beneficial but not required This role is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry who enjoy engaging with customers and working in a team-oriented environment.
