The applicant should also have proven skills in home repairs, including plumbing and electrical, carpentry, framing, concrete and minor excavation.\n\nResponsibilities:\n- Coordinate with the District Manager to complete projects and renovations within the organization\n\n- Oversee maintenance operations and preventative maintenance programs across a portfolio of properties\n- Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that may arise during project execution\n\n- Provide support to on-site staff, perform repairs, and assist with unit turnovers\n\n- Train and mentor maintenance staff, providing coverage for short-handed properties and offering guidance on maintenance procedures and troubleshooting\n\n- Assist with special situations such as storm damage, system failures, and utility interruptions, providing hands-on support as needed\n\nSkills:\n\n- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements\n- Strong problem-solving skills to identify creative solutions for project challenge\n\n- Comfortable with leading repairs, troubleshooting maintenance problems and assisting in new building projects\n\n- Must be a self-starter, can work independently or as a team member, and can prioritize and problem solve daily workload to contribute to the completion of the project as assigned\n\n- Organized & Detail Oriented\n\n-Excellent communication skills are critical, including verbal and written\n\nExperience:\n- Should have *all* Maintenance Technician responsibilities and skills necessary\n- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with internal teams\n- Proven experience in successfully working through a project from initiation to completion\n\n- Prefer experience operating mini excavator, bobcat, or ability to learn\n\nThis is a hands-on, full-time position working at various apartment/self-storage/ office locations within our company portfolio. Job requires heights of 20ft or higher on occasion. Must not have a fear of heights or electricity to be successful.\n\nProject Technicians with Universal Development must have hand tools, power tools, reliable transportation, a clean criminal background check, clear drug screening, positive can-do attitude, be neat, clean and presentable.
