Desktop Support Technician
This is a temporary position expected to last 4-6 weeks. 5 days/week onsite in Nashville.No C2C outreach on this opportunity, please. --------Desktop Support TechnicianPosition SummaryThe IT Systems Administrator / Desktop Support Technician provides day‑to‑day technical support for plant users, workstations, servers, and on‑premise network infrastructure. This role handles Active Directory administration, PC troubleshooting, basic server support, and general IT operations across the facility. The position is hands‑on, customer‑facing, and supports a manufacturing environment with up to 300 workstations and 6–8 servers. Key ResponsibilitiesEnd‑User & Desktop Support Provide deskside support for PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals.Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and resolve break/fix tickets quickly.Image, deploy, and maintain Windows workstations. Active Directory & IdentityCreate and manage user accounts, groups, access rights, and file permissions.Maintain OU structure, GPOs, and security settings. Server & Systems Support (Light–Moderate)Assist with maintenance of 6–8 on‑prem Windows servers.Support patching, backups, antivirus, and monitoring tasks.Help troubleshoot server or network issues as escalated. Networking Support (Break/Fix Level)Support wired/wireless connectivity issues on the plant floor.Assist with switches, cabling, VLANs, and basic network troubleshooting. Plant & Production SupportProvide IT support in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and industrial equipment. General IT OperationsAssist with special projects, upgrades, and hardware/software rollouts.Maintain logs, documentation, and inventory of IT assets.Support Exchange/O365 administration as needed. Qualifications3–5+ years of experience in desktop support, systems administration, or IT operations.Strong hands‑on experience with Windows OS, Active Directory, and workstation troubleshooting.Basic understanding of Windows Server, networking fundamentals, and backup/restore processes.Excellent customer service and communication skills. PreferredExperience supporting IT in a manufacturing or plant environment.Certifications such as A+, Network+, CCNA, MCSA, or equivalent.
