The Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization that assists people without regard for religious affiliation or lack thereof through comprehensive case management and integrated social service programs. The Center enjoys broad-based community support as well as a sponsored relationship with its founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. St. Joseph Center serves approximately 6,000 individuals annually.\r\nBrief Description of Principal Activities\r\nMultifaceted intervention, prevention, and education services are carried out at four sites on the Westside of Los Angeles. St. Joseph Center's integrated programs provide clients with concentrated and coordinated access to services according to the nature of their needs.\r\nJob Description Serving as a team leader while adhering to the mission of St. Joseph Center, the Program Manager is responsible for providing both administrative and clinical support to program staff as well as overseeing day-to-day operations of the FSP-ICM (HSSP) team.\r\nThe Program Manager key areas of responsibilities include\r\nOversee day-to-day operations.\r\nProvide weekly supervision which includes clinical and administrative support to program staff.\r\nMonitor weekly and monthly staff productivity and documentation submission.\r\nOversee service delivery and quality control issues to maintain the highest standard of services.\r\nProvide support to clients as needed and assist with crisis management.\r\nParticipate in the on-call after hours schedule.\r\nUtilize and assist team with utilizing evidence-based practices and be practice models to meet each client's individual needs.\r\nVisit and support staff at project-based buildings.\r\nAlong with the AVP of Programs, manage program activities in adherence to agency and contractual requirements and assure timely completion of all required documentation related to the program.\r\nMonitor staff performance and initiate accountability discussions when needed.\r\nAssist in creating and managing the program budget and monitor spending during the fiscal year.\r\nAssist in developing, reviewing and revising all administrative policies and procedures in keeping with program requirements as needed.\r\nSupport staff if needed with completing assessments and re-assessments that are required by the agency and funders as needed.\r\nSupport staff with coordinating strategies for addressing mental health, substance abuse issues, relapse prevention, medication management, and any other risk factors that could impede permanent housing.\r\nCoordinate and collaborate with other service providers, police and public safety officers and/or any other community resources.\r\nPrepare reports for the agency and funder when needed.\r\nParticipate in appropriate agency, contract and funder related meetings.\r\nOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed are designed to provide typical examples of the work performed; not all duties and responsibilities assigned are included here, nor is it expected that all similar positions will be assigned every duty and responsibility.\r\nQualifications Skills\r\nMust have the ability to communicate with and relate to a diverse group of people including clients, community, and other staff.\r\nMust have excellent administrative and organizational skills.\r\nMust demonstrate ability to manage and supervise professional and para-professional staff while handling multiple tasks and relating to diverse populations.\r\nBi-lingual is preferred.\r\nExperience\r\n1-year minimum management and/or supervisory experience is preferred.\r\nExperience working on or with a DMH funded program is preferred.\r\nExperience providing mental health and substance abuse services in a community setting; experience working with mentally ill/dual diagnosed population, para-professional and administrative staff is preferred.\r\nExperience providing therapy, case management, and substance use services in a community setting with homeless or at- risk populations.\r\nEducation\r\nMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services or a related field.\r\nDirect Reports\r\nCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\r\nCertificates, Licenses and Registrations:\r\nLicensed MFT, LCSW, and/or LPCC in the State of California.\r\nValid California Class C Driver License and clear DMV report required.\r\nValid automobile liability insurance\r\nComputer Skills\r\nProficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).\r\nAbility to use various electronic health records and other databases.\r\nTravel Requirements\r\nAccess to reliable transportation.\r\nThis is not a remote position, but there is flexibility and meetings will be scheduled accordingly.\r\nTravel to meetings at multiple St. Joseph Center sites and at community partners' locations as needed.\r\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
